Chloe Yvonne Simpson, 61, of Peoria, passed away at 2:16 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with the Rev. Dr. Rose Booker-Jones officiating. Interment will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Chloe was born in Peoria on December 8, 1951, a daughter of George Hendricks and Lillian Mae (Simpson) Grant. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Shannon E. Grant, Jr. She is survived by her fiancé, Sylvester Scott of Peoria; daughter, Kelsey Simpson of Peoria; siblings, Gregg L. (Mary) Grant of Adelanto, CA, Cheryl S. Grant of Peoria, Constance B. Grant-Pruitte of Shorewood and Monterey Simpson of Peoria; special cousin, Tanya T. Buckner of Galesburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. As a child, Chloe was raised at Bethel United Methodist Church in Peoria and was a graduate of Woodruff High School in Peoria. She enjoyed crocheting and was an excellent artist.

To the family of Chloe Simpson...
In 2010 I started having dialysis and during that time I met Chloe. A few months later my kidneys kicked in and I was off of dialysis. But the staff at the center were just wonderful and I had made a few friends at that time, so on occasion I would go to the center to visit. I always made sure I looked for Chloe. Actually it hasn't been that long since I've seen her. I was so sorry to hear about her passing. I will miss her. You have my deepest smypathy and I will always remember her.
